Screening

A screening roller blind removes the sharpest sunlight so you're not dazzled, but still allows some light through so the room feels lit. Perfect for the kitchen or living room where you want brightness but want to avoid dazzling sunlight.

Screen

Our screen roller blinds are the perfect choice for windows where you need sun protection but at the same time don't want to lose the view. Traditional roller blinds work well as sun protection, but can easily give a confined effect. Our popular screen roller blinds appear transparent from the inside while also reducing heat and protecting against direct sunlight. Read our full screen guide.

Inward-opening windows

For inward-opening windows, Hasta has developed Multifix – a window-mounted sun blind. It easily clips onto the window frame and moves with the window when it opens, no screws needed! Read our Multifix guide.

Screw-free roller blinds

For windows where you can't, don't want to, or are not allowed to drill, we offer our innovations Multifix, Fusion, and Tension. Read more about Multifix above.

Tension is a globally patented innovation that uses friction instead of screws to attach roller blinds. You simply tension the roller blind in the recess, it's easy and above all – no screws are needed!

Fusion is a smart roller blind that is extra easy to install and is extra child-safe as it is completely chain-free. 3 mounting options – on the wall, in the ceiling/recess, or directly on the window frame without screws!

Roller Blind FAQs

Which blackout blind is best for a completely dark bedroom?

Choose a blackout roller blind that is mounted on the wall. For best results – choose a width that is at least 5 cm wider than the window on each side. The wider the roller blind you choose, the less light will enter from the edges.

What is the difference between a privacy roller blind and a screen roller blind?

A privacy roller blind lets light in but is not transparent. A screen roller blind protects against direct sunlight and heat and is partially transparent, so you retain the view.

Can I keep the view and still get good sun protection?

Yes, with a screen fabric roller blind, you can maintain the view while reducing direct sunlight and heat.

Which roller blind is suitable for windows that open inwards?

The Multifix roller blind is mounted directly on the window frame and moves with the window when it is opened, making it ideal for inward-opening windows.

Which blinds can be installed without drilling?

We have several screw-free models:

  • Tension is fixed in the window niche by friction.
  • Multifix is clamped onto the window frame and is suitable for inward-opening windows.
  • Fusion can be mounted in several ways, including on the window frame without screws, just like Multifix.

How do I measure correctly – in the recess or above the window frame?

For standard roller blinds:

  • Recess fit: Measure the width in at least three places and use the smallest measurement minus 5 mm.
  • Outside window/frame: Choose a blind that is wider than the window to minimize light leakage.
  • Exception! Tension: Follow Tension's own measuring instructions and provide the exact recess dimensions when ordering, as it is friction-mounted.

Read our measuring guide for complete guidance.

How do I prevent light from entering around the edges of a blackout roller blind?

Choose a roller blind that is wider than the window, at least 10 cm wider (5 cm on each side). The wider the roller blind, the less light will enter from the sides.

Are roller blinds child-safe – and what should I consider?

Roller blinds with a hanging ball chain can be a safety risk for small children. Choose a custom-made roller blind where you can specify the length and mounting height of the ball chain, so the chain is out of reach. All our solar shading products with hanging ball chains/cords come with a child safety device.

For extra safety, you can choose Fusion, which is supplied completely without cords or ball chains.

Are there roller blinds that reduce heat?

Yes, our screen roller blinds reflect a large portion of sunlight and reduce heat gain. You can also choose roller blinds with a silver backing for extra effective sun protection and heat reduction.
