GUIDE

Blinds

Svart persienn i sovrumsfönster

Blinds are a classic and flexible sun protection that makes it easy to regulate light and privacy in the window. Most of our blind models are ordered as custom-made blinds to fit your window measurements.

For example, you can choose a screw-free blind that is tensioned in the recess, a between-glass blind (blind between panes), or a free-hanging/surface-mounted model for regular windows. There is also a model that is adjusted entirely without cords or lines for a cleaner look and increased child safety.

In this guide, you will get an overview of different mounting solutions, so you can easily choose a model that suits your windows and needs.

Flexible light control

Adjust the slats to control the amount of light and privacy in the window.

Cordless blind

Choose a blind that adjusts without cords or chains for increased child safety.

Screwless mounting

For installation without drilling or screwing, there is a screw-free blind that is tensioned in the recess.

Screwless blind - tension mounted in the recess

A no-drill blind is a practical option when you want to install without drilling or screwing into the window. The blind is tension-mounted in the window recess using friction, so no screws are needed.

Between-glass blind

Between-glass blinds are blinds installed between the panes of a window and custom-made to your window measurements. The product range also includes spare parts and accessories available for purchase if needed, such as cord locks and other components for adjustment and installation.

Free-hanging blind for standard windows

A free-hanging Venetian blind, also known as an external Venetian blind, is mounted in front of the window pane and hangs freely in the window. The model is custom-made to your window measurements for a precise fit.

Cordless blind

The range also includes Cordless, a free-hanging blind with no cords or strings for increased child safety and a cleaner look. The model is adjusted by hand by pulling the blind up and down. Available in selected standard sizes that fit the most common window sizes.

How to measure for blinds

How you should measure for blinds depends on which model you have. For the free-hanging model, it also depends on how wide it should be in relation to the window.

Width

  • Tension Blind: Measure the width of the recess at the exact location where the roller blind is to be mounted. Provide exact recess measurements when ordering.
  • Free-hanging blind: Decide how wide the blind should be: in line with the window glass, in line with the window frame, or wider than the window. Provide the exact desired width.
  • Between-glass blind: Open the window sash to measure the glass area. Measure in at least three places: at the top, in the middle, and at the bottom. From the smallest measurement, subtract 5 mm. This is to ensure that the blind will fit and can hang freely without touching the sides.

Height
Measure the total coverage area. For recess mounting or for between-glass blinds: measure the height in three places (left, middle, and right) and use the highest measurement.
