MEASURING GUIDE
How to get the right curtain size
Measure curtain width
The width of the curtain is important for the final result, both for achieving beautiful waves and for covering the areas you want. Our curtains are available in single width (132 cm) or double width (268 cm), and a good rule of thumb is that they become about half as wide when you hang them with waves. If you need wider measurements, you can hang several curtain panels next to each other.
Cover the entire wall with curtains
If you want to cover an entire wall with curtains, measure the distance from wall to wall. To create beautiful curtain waves that give a full impression, double the measurement. This will give you the total width you need for the curtain fabric.
Curtains hanging next to the window
If you prefer curtains that hang at the side of the window, start by considering whether you also want to be able to draw the curtains across the window. For example, blackout curtains can hang neatly at the side during the day but still be able to cover the entire window at night.
Measure how much of the wall next to the window you want to cover. Double this measurement to get an appropriate width for the curtain when it hangs in beautiful waves. Then check that the total width is sufficient to cover the entire window if you want to be able to draw them closed.
Measuring curtain height
Our curtains are custom-made to your exact height measurements. The most aesthetically pleasing look is for the curtain to end just above the floor. This allows it to hang freely and achieve the most beautiful drape.
The curtain comes with a generous 8 cm hem, making it easy to adjust the length as needed. You can easily hem it up or down later – perfect if, for example, you move and want to adapt the curtains to a new window or a different ceiling height.

Reduce the height
After this, you need to make a deduction from the measurement so that the curtain can hang freely. The size of the deduction depends on the type of hanging you have. Below you will find our recommendations for each combination of curtain track/rod and hook.
Please note that these are our recommendations based on the curtain ending approximately 2 cm above the floor. You can, of course, choose a longer or shorter length if, for example, you prefer a look where the curtain rests on the floor.

Common questions about curtain measurements
My wall is wider than your curtains - what do I do?
The maximum width of our curtains is 268 cm. If your wall is wider, you can hang several curtain panels next to each other. You can hide the seams in a pleat or a wave, so it looks like a single wide curtain panel.
I want trailing curtains, how do I calculate that?
If you want the curtains to drape on the floor, you can add the desired length to our recommended measurements.
Our calculations assume that the curtain hangs approximately 1 centimeter above the floor, so use that measurement as a basis and add the extra length you want the fabric to rest on the floor.
How do I measure if I don't have your curtain tracks?
Our recommendations are based on our own tracks and curtain hooks, but it is of course fine to use the curtains with curtain tracks from other brands as well.
Please contact us, and we will help you calculate the correct height based on your tracks and your specific circumstances.
Can I adjust the height of the curtains myself if I measured incorrectly?
Yes, you can adjust the height yourself to some extent if you find that the measurement was incorrect after delivery. Our custom-made curtains are delivered with a hem that is approximately 10 centimeters wide. This allows you to lengthen or shorten the curtain slightly by re-sewing the hem.
