Roller Blind FAQs

How are roller blinds installed?

Our roller blinds with screw fixings can be mounted on the ceiling, wall or in a window recess. We also have screw-free options that are mounted directly on the window frame or tensioned into the window recess with friction.

Is it possible to install roller blinds without drilling?

Yes, we have several no-drill models in our range that are installed without drilling. Tension is tensioned into the window reveal with friction, while Multifix clamps directly onto the
window sash and is suitable for inward-opening windows.

Do roller blinds have to be exactly the right size?

If the roller blind is to be installed within the window recess, it is important that the measurements are correct so that it fits. When installing outside the window, on the ceiling or on the wall, you can instead choose a wider measurement than the window itself. This can be particularly useful for blackout blinds to reduce light entry.

Blackout roller blinds

Will the room be completely dark with blackout blinds?

Blackout roller blinds have a completely light-blocking fabric, but some light may still enter from above or at the sides depending on the window's design and how the roller blind is installed. For better blackout, the roller blind can be installed a bit above the window and chosen in a wider size than the window width itself.

Are there blackout roller blinds that are screw-free?

Yes, our no-drill roller blinds are also available with blackout fabric. This means you can choose blackout without drilling into the window frame.

Do blackout blinds help against heat?

Yes, blackout roller blinds can reduce heat gain by blocking sunlight. Certain fabrics, such as Titan, with a silver backing, also reflect sunlight and can provide additional effect.
