Decorate with pastels

The brighter time of year is finally here, and this season's biggest color trend is as delightfully uplifting as the weather! Now we want color in our decor, and bright pastels dominate the color palette. But what exactly are pastel colors? And which of these shades go together?
Here are some simple tips from us on how to easily decorate with color and combine pastel colors in the best way.

This season's trend colours

This spring and summer's trend colors include light pastel shades of blue, green, and pink, which combine beautifully or simply brighten up a white or neutral base in your decor.

Curtains in pastel shades are a clever way to add more color to your decor without making permanent changes like repainting your walls. The soft pastel colors are easy to decorate with because the shades are light and cheerful without being overpowering and can be used in all rooms of the house in different, creative ways. If you still want to start with a "safe" bet, children's rooms are perfect for colorful decor. It becomes playful, cheerful, and encourages creativity – exactly the feeling we're after in children's rooms. Experiment – even small details in pastel colors will brighten up your decor!

Playful color combinations

The advantage of pastel colours is that they can be combined in an incredible number of ways – both with each other and with more neutral base colours, making the possibilities for decorating with colour endless for the creative!

If your walls are already painted in a pastel colour, you can playfully combine them with curtains in another pastel shade for an exciting look. Patterned wallpapers create a beautiful overall impression by picking up one of the colour tones from your curtains.

Colour tones that we previously associated only with children's rooms take on a whole new feel when combined with more neutral colours and adult decor – and the result is an exciting home full of energy!

Curtains for white walls

Traditionally, white walls can sometimes feel bland and a bit boring – but they also offer a perfect opportunity to experiment with colored curtains! White walls go with virtually all colors, and pastels are particularly suitable here because the contrast is not as harsh as with stronger colors.

The light shades give a wonderful feeling of freshness and energy – something that brightens up and encourages creativity – but also makes us relaxed and calm. If you prefer a more cohesive overall impression, it can be a good idea to stick to one or two pastel shades for textiles and interior details – but for a more playful and creative feel, freely combine your favorite pastels – the possibilities are endless with this season's delightful color trend!
